AIMS and OBJECTIVES

(effective 1st April 2003)

1.To foster and keep alive the comradeship of all who served in the Commonwealth Air Forces as Air Gunners.

2.To endeavour to retain contact with the other autonomous Air Gunners' Associations within the U.K.

3.To hold monthly meetings at the Union Jack Club or such other venues as the Committee shall decide.

4.To continue to take the lead role in attending and inviting the participation of other autonomous AGA's at the following annual events in or near London:-

(i) The field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on the Thursday before Armistice Sunday.

(ii) The Armistice Sunday Service at the Cenotaph.

(iii) The Annual Commonwealth Air Forces Service at Runnymede.

5.To support as far as possible by publicising and encouraging members to attend events organised or sponsored by other AGA's such as:-

(i) The annual pilgrimage to Dronten.

(ii) Air Gunners' Day at Elvington.

(iii) Any other worthy event.

6.To support the Air Gunner's Memorial Room at Elvington.


MEMBERSHIP

Ordinary Members

Open to all ranks of the Commonwealth Air Forces who were awarded the Air Gunner brevet or equivalent recognised emblem signifying successful completion of air gunnery training

Annual Membership fee:£5

12th November 2006 The Armistice Sunday Service at the Cenotaph - London

AIR GUNNERS also WOP/AG'S - U.K. and Commonwealth are welcome to our meetings and other events.

Dates of our monthly meetings at the Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, Waterloo Road, LONDON SE.1 - SECOND THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH at 11.30am except AUGUST and DECEMBER, these meetinga are at 11.00am. (These are social meetings with our wives/partners joining us at noon for lunch and social.)
